LENZERHEIDE, Switzerland — The best ski racer in the world is an American, and the world of skiing seems to be happy about that because it has been so long since it happened and expanded U.S. interest in skiing can mean a lot to the sport. The best ski racer in the world is Bode Miller. Miller says he doesn't know what's next for him. 'I don't know that this is going to be some kind of giant springboard. 'Maybe two lasting impressions were formed at the World Cup finals, where Miller's impressive clutch performances earned him the first World Cup overall title for an American since Phil Mahre and Tamara McKinney in 1983. "In my skiing now," Miller says, "I'm constantly going into situations where your reactions and your instincts are telling you to do one thing and I override that and do something different and it kicks (butt), and that's a really cool feeling."

ISRAEL HAS SECRET PLAN TO BOMB IRAN: Israel has drawn up secret plans for a combined air and ground attack on targets in Iran if diplomacy fails to halt the Iranian nuclear program, according to a published report. The inner Cabinet of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon gave "initial authorization" for an attack at a private meeting last month at his Negev Desert ranch, the Sunday Times of London reported today. Israeli forces have used a mock-up of Iran's Natanz uranium-enrichment plant in the desert to practice destroying it, according to the Times, which cited no sources.

The Times described Spector as "Legendary Music Producer". This is troubling and unfair to the memory and facts of the documented life of Lana Clarkson. To friends and peers she was an "actress".The trial of Phil Spector, charged with Lana's murder, will unfold in a few months.

In memoriam: Oscar winning composer of The Salamander, Jerry Goldsmith died Wednesday, July 21, in his Beverly Hills home. Jerry also composed music for STAR TREK - PLANET OF THE APES - CHINA TOWN - LA CONFIDENTIAL, just to mention a few.

While in Garmisch-Germany last year, as owner of the renowned 80 year traditional Garmisch-SCR Hockey Team, I met up with Bode and gave him some instructions! Congratulations on your 2 Gold Metals! After winning two World Championships in Italy, Bode is going for the Downhill and Super-G World cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany next weekend! Good Luck Bode!

Guidarelli, Aaron Foxx, and Dan Bjornli of my SCR Hockey Team to the annual, Internationally televised New Years Day Ski Event. Because I forbid them to ski, this was a real treat! I loved spoiling them - they deserved it!
